On Jan. 23, Greg McAfee of the McAfee Foundation for Children and Youth and McAfee Heating and Air gave a $5000 check to a local Destination Imagination (DI) team. The team, who is currently raising money to get Ally Moran (9) a service dog.

The team thought the library meeting was for a group picture. They then received the surprise donation. This donation brought the girls even closer to their $20,000 goal. However, donations are not the only thing bringing the team closer to their goal. The girls currently sell baked goods, candy, and bracelets in the school and on Jan. 29 the team held a silent auction where they raised over $7,000.

Ally has Spina Bifida and a service dog would assist her with the physical limitations she encounters, as well as helping in dealing with anxiety. The team continues to strive to their goal. They created a website that details their efforts. For more information on how to get involved, visit pupsforpeople16.com.
