Some Oakwood students prefer to date students from alternative schools

Our school is known for not having a huge group of students. Oakwood has a fairly small district which could lead to why some students find interests in people from other schools.

There are benefits and down sides to dating someone from a different school. Some benefits are not having your friends know about it and being able to meet new people. The downsides could be that there isn’t a whole lot of time to hang out or even see the person a student is dating.

Some students have had a good experience and some have had a rather bad experience with dating someone from an alternative school.

“ I have dated someone from a different school and I found it a good experience,” Grant L. (9) said.

Some students found it not to be a great experience and wouldn’t do it again.

“ I wouldn’t date someone from a different school, because I like dating people from the same school. Also, it is hard to know if a person from a different school than you is cheating on you with somebody else,” Alexi W. (10) said.

There are definitely benefits and down sides to dating someone from a different school, but some may have different opinions than others.

“ We hung out a lot during the summer and I liked dating someone new,” Grant L. said. For some it is easy to find time to spend with someone from a different school, but for others it can be difficult.

“ I found it hard to spend time with someone from a different school,” Alexi W. (10) said, “because it is hard when you don’t see the person at school everyday.”
